Regent Seven Seas Cruises Unveils New Era of Ultra-Luxury with Seven Seas Prestige, A Milestone Ship for 2025

Regent Seven Seas Cruises, a leader in the ultra-luxury cruise industry, marked a significant milestone in the development of its new flagship, the Seven Seas Prestige. On November 27, 2025, the ship was officially floated out of dry dock, signaling the completion of a key construction phase for the first new ship class from Regent in a decade. This marks the beginning of a new era of ultra-luxury cruising that will set new standards for opulence and comfort at sea.

The float-out ceremony took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, where Fincantieri’s Brunetta Casara served as Madrina, performing the traditional champagne ceremony at the bow of the ship. Afterward, the ship’s dry dock was flooded, officially completing this critical construction phase. Marco Spiga, Senior Director and Project Manager at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, thanked Fincantieri for their ongoing partnership, emphasizing the importance of their collaboration in bringing the Seven Seas Prestige to life.

With this phase complete, the ship will be moved to the outfitting pier for the finishing touches, including the completion of luxurious suites such as the Skyview Regent Suite – the largest all-inclusive ultra-luxury cruise suite in history. Elegant lounges and exquisite dining venues are also being finalized to ensure that every aspect of the guest experience on the Seven Seas Prestige is unparalleled.

The Seven Seas Prestige is slated for its debut in December 2026 as the seventh ship in Regent’s fleet and the first of three Prestige-Class ships planned for the future. A second ship is confirmed for delivery in 2030, with a third expected in 2033. This strategic expansion will offer even more opportunities for luxury travelers to explore more than 550 destinations worldwide, enhancing the ultra-luxury cruise experience Regent is known for.

With a gross tonnage of 76,550 and space for just 822 guests and 630 crew members, the Seven Seas Prestige will offer one of the highest guest-to-crew ratios in the industry. The ship is 40% larger than previous Regent ships but will accommodate only 10% more guests, ensuring that it continues to offer Unrivaled Space at Sea®. During its inaugural season, the Seven Seas Prestige will embark on 13 extraordinary voyages across Europe and the Caribbean, including two transatlantic crossings. These carefully curated itineraries will range from 10 to 15 nights and will feature highlights such as Regent’s private island in Belize, Harvest Caye, two transits of the Panama Canal, and overnight stays in culturally rich cities like London, Lisbon, and Bordeaux.

The Seven Seas Prestige follows the remarkable success of Regent’s Explorer-Class ships, which were also built by Fincantieri, and represents the first new class of ships for Regent in a decade. This ship will redefine what is possible in ultra-luxury cruising, offering expansive suites with balconies, luxurious public spaces, and world-class amenities.

The ship’s accommodations include 12 suite categories, with four entirely new suite types: the Skyview Regent Suite, the largest all-inclusive ultra-luxury cruise suite in the world; the two-story Skyview Suites with private terraces and in-suite elevators; the Grand Loft Suites with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows; and the Horizon Penthouse Suites with expansive balconies for outdoor living. These suites are complemented by the elegant, meticulously designed public areas, such as the Starlight Atrium and Galileo’s Bar.
